The images capture so many things I love about LA - the light, the greenery, the easygoing lifestyle. I've pasted a few of my favorite shots below, but you can see the full post - complete with interview by Aya Muto - on Freunde von Freunden, here. Enjoy!

Such beautiful photos..! I'll visit the site after this for sure. Have a great flight back to NYC! p.s. Thank you so much for telling Miya about my drawing. I just got an email from her about their site. I'll let you know how it goes, but just wanted to thank you first. That's so sweet of you! Arigatou xo akiko

This is so gorge! First of all, Max can do no wrong (hopefully I can meet that kid someday!), and Freunde von Freunden is such a beautiful spot on the web. Love these, and I'm so glad you had a great week home. Hopefully next time you make the trip to CA we can meet for a little west coast reunion. :)
ReplyDeleteHow amazing! I hope you enjoyed your visit to LA - there's so much to do here I don't know how you had time to do so much (not to mention battling traffic). I hope your trip was relaxing and tasty!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all of the sweet notes :)
xoxo,

what sweet photos!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful home tour, great photos! I really enjoyed reading the interview as well. Thanks for sharing, and yes, next time we will have to have an LA meet up!
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of Freunde von Freunden and was just oohing and aahing over this interview a few days ago! Little did I know the photos were taken by your brother (I should have taken a closer look!). He's such a talented photographer - absolutely beautiful! What a cute couple, too! I hope you've made it home safely!
ReplyDeleteWhat a warm and inviting home. Love their little dogs and those crates of books in the living room. Big fan of your brother's work.

thanks for the share...there truly is something about the light that is different than back on the east coast. my fave is the one with the pups. ~Deirdre
ReplyDeleteAkiko, that's wonderful! My pleasure completely!
ReplyDeleteChelsea, I would LOVE a little West Coast reunion later this year - that would be so fun! (Still can't believe you're moving so soon!)
Amy, of course! Have been loving your blog! And yes, my trip was so relaxing and SO tasty! Can't wait to come back...
Angela, yes, next time for sure! I'd love that!
Love it! These photos just gave me a totally different perspective of Laurel Canyon...I drive south from Mulholland on Laurel Canyon Boulevard every day after work, and it always feels kind of closed in and claustrophobic. Good to know that there's more to it than meets the eye =] I looove that living room with the slanty ceiling and the glowy sunlight!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Look what I just found today!

I'm writing a post about this right now =]
your home kinda says everything about you, no? these people are pretty rad. pups included.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this home! This is right around me, too. :)
ReplyDeleteRachel, that photo is AMAZING! Love it! I know that intersection well :)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Makes me want to ditch NYC for the west coast lifestyle complete with sunlight, outdoor space, and dogs always. Now, where do I get a gorgeous husband who likes to cook?!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a great time at home!
