Curiosities worth sharing this sunny Thursday morning: writers, caught in various stages of undress,
clayboard coasters of famous directors,
and these cooler-than-cool photos of the Krazy Kat Club, a 1920s bohemian (treetop!) speakeasy.
Writer photos, clockwise from top left: William S. Burroughs by Allen Ginsberg; Ray Bradbury by Baron Wolman; Ernest Hemingway and Jean Patchett: unknown. Krazy Kat Club photos: National Photo Company. Found via Wolf Eyebrows.
So cool! Those coaster are awesome. And someday, I WILL build a treehouse.
ReplyDeleteA tree top speak easy would be so amazing on one of these warm evenings!
ReplyDeleteThose speakeasy photos are the perfect inspiration for my next book, which happens to be set around a speakeasy/jazz club. Also, I'm slightly obsessed with the 1920s.
ReplyDeleteI said it before and I will say it again...you found the coolest and often wackiest stuff. x
ReplyDeleteI want a tree house right now!!! It'll be so much fun to have a party up there, no kids allowed.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend! x
Brianna, can't think of a better setting.
ReplyDeleteMonica, thank you, that's a wonderful comment - especially the wacky part :)
