First things first. I must ask: was there ever a better Etsy model than Yokoo Gibraan?
This time last year, I wrote about Yokoo's spectacular - and spectacularly enormous - trademark scarves ("I...knit for hours and hours and hours and hours," she once told the New York Times). Since then, it seems, the shop inventory has expanded to include detachable fabric collars, wooden jewelry, a smart-aleck sweatshirt, and more.
My favorite is the beanie pictured below. It's the (slightly extreme) hat version of my hairstyle of choice. Bookmarked!

Oh! I remember falling in love with her mega-gigantically awesome Soopascarf some time ago... it has just been re-added to the top of my wish-list (along with one of her chains and maybe a collar, too).
ReplyDeleteThose woollen chain scarves are just too awesome...

WHOA, that chain scarf is cool. It'd be exhausting to answer every single person who asked, "Where'd you get that?!" :)
ReplyDeleteHa! I was just browsing Etsy last night and thinking the same thing! I've never gotten any of her scarves, but agree that they are awesomely awesome.
ReplyDeletei love her scarves and you're right, she is quite the model.
ReplyDeleteYay! I've been wondering where to find huge scarves like these. I wonder if that chain scarf comes with the little critter to perch on one's shoulder.
ReplyDeleteI own one of her Soopa scarves and can personally attest to its sheer wonderful-ness. Highly recommended!
ReplyDeleteI loooove scarves and big big beanies. I love her shop, she is very interesting!
ReplyDeleteAwesome modeling skills! I love Yokoo's great sense of humor.
