My brother, Max, has opened a brand-new print shop! I've listed a few of my favorites below (I'm particularly fond of the palm trees), but there's even more in the shop, here. I'm a proud sister.
In other news, I hope you all enjoyed the weekend! Mine was food-centric: ramen in Williamsburg; Indonesian food in Queens; and, to cap off the decadence, a single chocolate-peppermint cupcake, shared with these lovely ladies at a party in Greenpoint. Heavenly.
What a good and supportive sister you are! I like palm trees, too. Ramen sounds um, yum! You had Indonesian food! Even though I live in Indonesia, I don't really eat Indonesian food when we go out. Strange how that works...
ReplyDeleteThis is very exciting! I actually emailed Max (and Margaux) a few months ago asking whether or not I could prints of some photos that weren't available as prints in his "old" shop. That NYC one was one of them. What a talented family you are!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever had Indonesian food before! Maybe 2013 will be my year of venturing outside of Manhattan for food and trying new (to me) cuisines.
Your brother is a genius with the lens!! I would be a proud sister too :) And this grey, rainy weekend definitely called for a steaming hot bowl of ramen.. Have you ever been to Totto Ramen in Hell's Kitchen? Insanely delicious on a winter's night!
ReplyDeleteYour brother is so talented. I have been following his work for a little while now. I think the print titled 'ocean' is my favorite, although it is so hard to decide. Also, the clean design of the shop works well with his photographs. What a proud moment for you!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea Max was your brother as I've just started reading your posts daily. He does some mavelous work indeed. It's all in the family, any way you look at it. ;) Love the 'beach daze' too http://www.maxwangerprintshop.com/product/beach_daze
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Sho!
Claire, thank you!!
ReplyDeleteChristine, I've never been, can you believe it? I hear about it all the time, though - can't wait to check it out!
Congrats to Max! He is one talented man. I've followed him for a few years and am always so impressed.
ReplyDeleteI love the palm trees too. I follow Max (and you) on Instagram and it's always a pleasant surprise when photos from either of you pop up.
ReplyDeleteI fell in love with his photography when I saw it on a cup of jo a few years ago! So glad he has a print shop now!! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Brianna - I need to remember to post more :)
ReplyDeleteShoko, that's such exciting news! I've been an admirer of your brother's photography for a while, and love the new store! Thanks for sharing :) Your weekend sounds like great times - wishing you a wonderful week!

ReplyDeletevery excited about his shop opening... long time admirer of his work and am coveting those palm trees for a future wall in a future home... (soon, i hope!)... such a rad brother/sister combo you two are.
ReplyDeleteI really love the yellow balloon and the one called "fly away." Very cool.
