People Watching.

Captured by Swedish shutterbugs Inka Lindergard and Niclas HolmstromWatching Humans Watching shows men and women gazing out at nature, seemingly deep in thought - about what, we can only wonder.

It's beautiful, mysterious, and very fitting, I thought, for the start of a new month and a new season.

Speaking of which, I hope you all had a happy Labor Day! The wedding in New Hampshire was amazing - the couple rented out the bride's childhood summer camp for the weekend, and we spent three days hiking, canoeing, and adventuring in the wilderness. And if that wasn't lovely enough, I also experienced the wonders of tie dye, and saw my very first chipmunk (actually, to my delight, many of them). It was the most gorgeous way to say goodbye to summer - or, at least, to start to.

  3. You'd never seen a chipmunk before?! That shit cray, sista. Sounds like an amazing weekend. I could sure use some wilderness time right about now. And yay tie dye! We used to do tie dye every week with the kids at the summer camp I worked at. Are your hands all stained with rainbows? =]

  5. Rachel, nope! They're so cute! And yes, tie-dye was awesome - I wore gloves but now want to dye everything in sight - it just might happen :)

  6. These are so dreamy and almost milky, if that's a good adjective. I love them, they're almost out of a Wes Anderson movie. What are they thinking?? Also: chipmunks will forever be delightful. So tiny and cute! Glad you had fun in NH. xo

  8. I love that you just saw your first chipmunk! I actually never saw one until I was 21--I was running in Boston and so shocked to see a real, live one, that I just stopped dead in my tracks and stared at it. And now that I think of it, I haven't seen another one, since!
