I often get caught up in the idea of tomorrow, next week, next month, next year. And while it's comforting to make plans for the future and alway important to dream, I never want to lose sight of the fact that I'm here. There's beauty in working to catch the wave; it's beautiful, also, just being in the sea.

Such great advice! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteDreamy photos... and words.
ReplyDeleteJust yesterday I was thinking about how, since staying home with the baby this past year, my life has really become more now-focused. Now we're going to the park to roll around in the grass... Now we're eating bananas... Now we're wrestling and tickling and giggling. She doesn't care about next week, next month or next year. It's such a good reminder to enjoy the moment, every day.
ReplyDeleteAlso, your brother's photos are so perfect. Have a wonderful weekend, Shoko!
as someone who is in the process of sacrificing 10 years for a diploma this felt like it was meant just for me.
ReplyDeleteI really needed to hear that today. 100% agree altho sometimes it's hard to pull out of that moment of worry/planning/etc. Does that make sense?
ReplyDeleteLovely
