Getting back into the swing of things here in NYC after two wonderful weeks with family - four-legged and chubby-cheeked members included - on the opposite coast.
It was sweet to be back - and sweet to return, too, to friends who bring confetti to the park; who come over late at night to bake macaroons; who think it's a good idea to hop onto the fire escapes of buildings taller than ours, just for the view. (For the record, that was a good idea.)
Just five days old, 2014 has been full of jolts and twists and shocks and wonders. I'm happy about that, and I'm looking forward to living the rest.
Happy New Year. (I'll be back with a regular post tomorrow!) Photos via my Instagram, and Max's, too. Last photo by Jacquelyne Mae.
So glad you had a beautiful trip filled with beautiful things!
