I've always been drawn to things that are slightly askew, so of course I love these wheel-thrown clay mugs, made by a craft-loving pharmacist in Barcelona named Neus Batllori Bas. Glazed in blues and greens and pinks and yellows, each cup is one-of-a-kind and pleasantly, prettily imperfect. One design comes with a crooked handle, another comes with an uneven saucer that resembles paper with its edges curled.

I love his choice of color. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteahh! that handle is KILLING me. amazing find.
ReplyDeleteThose are very cool. I love unique dishes (none of mine match, although they came from Wal-Mart so I don't love them) and these are definitely unique in a whimsical way.
ReplyDelete"pleasantly, prettily imperfect."

Lovely!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet, I too tend to be drawn to things with character. On a side note I tried making a wheel thrown bowl once - turns out it's much much harder than it looks :P
ReplyDeleteOh my, I love them! And those pretty pastel colors!
ReplyDeleteMorgan, I love them, too!
ReplyDeleteFee, yes! I tried once, too, and failed miserably :)
